ten22 featured on NPR’s “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me!”

I think I just made my mom more proud than when I graduated college. My mother is a long-time NPR listener, and her son has now been featured on the show, “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me!“, a current events quiz show.

I’d never heard of the show before, but got this email from the show’s host, Peter Sagal:

We’d like to use a quote from your blog on our radio show, and would like to use your real name.

if that’s all right with you, please email me ASAP or call xxx-xxx-xxxx.

Many thanks,

Peter Sagal

I just set up an email account for this blog, and haven’t gotten in the habit of checking it regularly (which I will now). I just called Peter (3 days after receiving the above email), and was too late. They’d already used it, and referenced me as “a blogger who calls himself ten22”. Peter was really friendly on the phone, and after doing some brief research on him, seems like a very funny guy.

You can hear the show reference my Bruce Springsteen post at the 7:47 minute mark of the 2/7/2009 show podcast, which is also coincidentally my birthday.  Thanks for the surprise birthday present, Peter!
