The New AGO: Frank Gehry’s Redesign in Ontario

(Gehry and Hova, before it was recently announced the architect would no longer be designing the Brooklyn Nets stadium)

Gehry’s re-design of the AGO Gallery:
Vodpod videos no longer available.

Frank Gehry is possibly the most famous architect in the world, and definitely the favorite within hip hop circles. I saw something about this museum re-design at Drake’s blog yesterday (which makes sense, since Gehry is Toronto-born…. something I just learned).  My mom originally introduced me to Frank Gehry a few years ago when there was a TV special about his work.  It showed his process of balling up a piece of paper for inspiration, and then creating an entire building design from the chaotic crumple.  Pretty amazing.

Head over to the AGO Museum site to learn more.
