Video: U.N.I. x Kidz In The Hall x Warren G @ The Vogue

In today’s irony report, Seanie Mic, the man whose parody videos have piles up 100’s of 1,000’s of 1,000,000’s of views, seems to always be present with his camera for local shows.

Thankfully he was on hand to capture Naledge (Kidz In The Hall) wearing a DOPE Couture shirt on stage with a wig-wearing Double-O?  There’s also footage of U-N-I doing my favorite song of theirs, ‘Beautiful Day,’ and Warren G running through This DJ & Regulators.  The bass was heavy on some of the songs, so sound quality is low.  Hopefully someone over at Heavy Gun has footage of Grey Granite opening up.  Thanks again to Sean for the video.

Art vs. Art, 9/25/09, Indianapolis

I’ve never attended this event, but always thought it looked cool. Mediasauce hooked up a very simple, visual voting system at the Art vs. Art site, which runs from 9/13 – 9/24.

Here’s a video from last year’s carnage.

7 Minute Freestyle ft. Rusty, C-Rayz Walz, Brother Ali, & Slug (The Vogue, Indy 5.19.09)

So, according to the Twittersphere, Dizzy, & others, last night’s show at the Vogue was great. There was also another notable hip hop show across town at the (former) Music Mill with Wale, Colin Monroe & Tanya Morgan (Brooklynati!). I went to… neither. Shameful, I know. But dealing with some major car repairs and broke pockets, killed my motivation. Luckily, I was able to see Wale in Bloomington (sans TM) last month. And even more luckily, there’s footage of what Rusty was talking about in the above tweet. Hip hop in the truest sense… enjoy.

*UPDATE: Another angle of the same freestyle.

**UPDATE: Post-show reaction, filmed by Rusty.

5/19/09: Atmosphere & Brother Ali @ The Vogue

(click flyer to buy tickets)

First time Atmosphere has been to Indy in some time. Looking forward to his live show, along with Brother Ali. Both of these guys seem like passionate performers, based on the music.
